Who We Are

Dedicated to Sustainable Social Transformation

Ujal Jiban Trust is a nonprofit organization, registered under the Trust Registration Act 1882 (Registration Number: 40882303274). The organization has been working for the development and empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized communities, with a special focus on the weaker sections of society.

It primarily operates in the Kalahandi district of Odisha, implementing various community-based development initiatives to improve the socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged families. The organization is actively engaged in promoting public health, quality education, vocational and skill development training, environmental awareness, plantation drives, climate change adaptation, and the strengthening of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

Through awareness campaigns, capacity-building programmes, and community participation, we encourage sustainable development and empower local people to become self-reliant, working closely with government departments and local institutions.

Our Goals

  • To reach India liberating people from various bondage that may be hindering development and growth applying the message and model of Jesus Christ.
  • To reach the people holistically, concentrating on their physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual needs for growth.
  • To unshackle people from the pain caused by the society because of their poverty and/or inabilities.
  • To concentrate primarily on children and youth because they stand as the pillar in the development of our country.
  • To ultimately reach those sections and groups in this country, which need love, joy, peace, reconciliation, and liberation.

  • Establishing training and rehabilitation centres for children at risk, with a loving and caring atmosphere, and reasonable facilities.
  • Start educational institutions to provide quality learning environments.
  • Promoting scientific agriculture activities and organic farming.
  • Strengthening Self Help Groups (SHGs) and promoting entrepreneurship among women for economic security.
  • Educating the youth on constitutional rights and providing vocational trainings.

What We Do

We operate a primary school (Class I to V) providing a safe, inclusive learning environment for 50+ enrolled students. Qualified teachers emphasize both classroom education and essential life skills.

Environment Awareness

Awareness

We educate communities about climate change, environmental conservation, and tree plantation. Our initiatives encourage sustainable practices for a healthier and cleaner future.

Skill Training

Skill Training

Committed to enhancing livelihoods, we provide skill development training to unemployed youth and SHG women to improve employability, promote entrepreneurship, and build a sustainable future.

Elderly Care

Social Assistance

To support vulnerable, isolated senior citizens in rural areas during winter, we distribute warm clothing and essential items, providing them with comfort, dignity, and care.
